Google just unveiled a new AI model called Gemini 3.5 Transcribe that fixes this exact annoyance by automatically stripping out verbal clutter to deliver clean, polished sentences.

Currently debuting in Gboard on the Pixel 11 before expanding across the wider Google ecosystem, this new engine is a massive upgrade over Chirp 3. It's roughly 70 percent faster from speech to final text, while bringing the real-time word error rate down to 5.5 percent.
